About me...

My name is Malin Eriksson, I live in the country outside of Trosa in Sweden with my husband Lars, our children Tove, Sunna, Viktor, our dogs, some rabbits and a few other bugs. I have had dogs in my family since i was a little girl, but I was 17 when I bought my first "own" dog, a Berger belge Groenendael male.
I have always been fascinated by animals since I was VERY little, it was therefore a matter of course to choose an animal high school when I was going to start at the high-school. I was reading 3 years about animals aimed for zoo-animals and wolfs. After the high-school I was working at a zoo in Stockholm called Skansen with the monkeys and half-apes. When I got pregnant with our first child, my husband and I wanted to move away from Stockholm out in the country side.
I then got a dog-instructor education by "Anders Hallgren", a famous Swedish dog-psychologist, and I started to give some dog-courses.
Parallel to the dog-courses I was also involved in a union, "Catastrophe help for birds and wild animals”, where I was helping to breed and take care of animal babies that had lost their parents in one or another way.
Now I am studying Molecular Cell Biology at the university high school, I find this very interesting and I have the opportunity to study what I like the most, genetics, gene-expression and gene-regulation. After 5 years of studies I will be finished in 2006.

By the side of my studies, family and dog activities I am also active in a dog breeder group where we are some breeders that get together every 3rd week to discuss different dog- and breeder-issues.
I bought my first White Swiss Shepherd, Beyas, in February 2001 from Sandra Eriksson, Kennel Tågabo. It showed out that Beyas was a fabulous female with a unique exterior and mentality. This resulted in that I could fulfil my childhood dream, to breed dogs.
My aim with the breeding is to breed healthy, nice, beautiful White Swiss Shepherds, dogs that have a healthy mentality as well as a healthy exterior, dogs that fits for both working, shows.
I am not interested in some puppy production just to gain money. Instead I want to be part of building up a healthy, sound White Swiss Shepherd population that will be at least as good even in the future.
To reach my breeding goals I choose my breeding animals with most carefulness and of course I only use healthy well qualified animals.
To get a bigger genetic diversity in our small population I think it is of most importance that we don’t use the same breeding animals too many times, if more different studs (mostly) are used we will spread the gene pool which will gain the population and give raise to a strong healthy population with a huge genevariation.

The White Swiss Shepherd is an active dog that needs to use the head in some way; I therefore only sell puppies to active homes where you are prepared to activate your dog in one way or another.
All my puppies MUST be x-rayed (hips and elbows). Once you bought a puppy it is NOT allowed to sell the puppy to another place but back to me.
Of course I will be here for you and your dog ALWAYS. Don’t hesitate to ask about anything, I will be glad to help out.

You are most welcome!
